This is the news I’ve been waiting for! I finally have a release date for my flash fiction chapbook Three in the Morning and You Don’t Smoke Anymore to be published by Etchings Press. There will be a brief presale via the Etchings Press internal e-commerce website on July 1, and then a full release on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc on July 15. More info and links to follow!

I was honored to have my long-form short story “Tryouts” – loosely based on my attempt to make the high school basketball team many years ago – named as a Finalist in this year’s Trifecta Competition sponsored by the Iron Horse Literary Review.

Just posted a new essay to my Medium page, “Jumping Out of a Perfectly Good Plane” – because sometimes the plane you’ve been flying in suddenly doesn’t seem nearly as perfectly good as it once did.

My piece of CNF, “If You Relax, You Will Float to the Surface,” is live now at Memoirist. On the surface (no pun intended) it’s about me struggling to keep my head above the surface of the water when I was swimming across the SF Bay in my first triathlon, but on another level, it can apply to any situation where you feel like you’re sort of flailing, which is really what prompted me to write it. Anyway, enjoy, and stay healthy!
